In terms of social responsibility, “Rompetrol” continues to support weightlifting federation in all those regions where it operates, namely Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey.

We feel it is our social obligation to sustain the evolution of sport, as we consider that business and sports have close connections, because it takes dedication and hard work to get good results in both. Thus, KMG International through Rompetrol brand is extending the geography of the support for weightlifting in the countries in which the company carries out its activities”, stated Omar Mustafin, managing director for Government Relations, KMG International.

In the Federation they declare that Rompetrol’s support has contributed to the development of weightlifting. "We are pleased to continue our cooperation with “Rompetrol”. The Weightlifting Federation has recently achieved a lot of success, the number of medals and the results of sportsmen speak about it. The infrastructure was also improved and the number of athletes has increased. All of this was done by the support of our general sponsor - Rompetrol. We will do our best to strengthen this cooperation in the future”, said Kakhi Kakhiashvili, president of Georgian Weightlifting Federation.

The event organized in Bucharest was attended by the members of the IWF Executive Committee and committee experts.
