Rompetrol Georgia Ltd., member of The Rompetrol Group, was established in December 2005 as a partnership between Rompetrol Group NV which today has 95% of the share capital and local partners with 5%. The Rompetrol Group NV is a multinational oil company, headed in Amsterdam with operations in 13 countries which managed to become one of the significant oil companies in South–East Europe and Black Sea region, advancing towards its goal to be among the top 10 European oil companies. In August 2007 KazMunayGaz purchased 75% of the shares of the Rompetrol Group NV. Through its activities the Rompetrol Group NV connects the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea and crossing the Mediterranean Sea it reaches the Atlantic Ocean. The mission of Rompetrol Georgia is to provide a stable supply of high, European standard quality fuels on the Georgian market. The enhancement of customers’ loyalty and satisfaction is the main objective of the RPG.
